Specialty Plastics is the only supplier of advanced composite piping that offers complete, single-source supply of design, fabrication, and installation of fully warranted systems for marine, offshore, and industrial market applications. FIBERBOND® Pipe Systems are designed, produced, installed, tested, and certified as complete systems. The company serves new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects throughout the world, principally in the offshore oil and gas, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and marine industries.

Our main offices are located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with other manufacturing and sales locations around the world. The Baton Rouge facility includes a 60,000 square feet manufacturing plant on a 5+ acre campus devoted to pipe and fittings production, with nearly 1/3 of this available for shop fabrication. Manufacturing capabilities range from 1 in. up to 60 in. diameter products.

The company was founded in 1973 as Specialty Plastics, Inc., and in December of 2007, became a business unit of ITT Corporation, as part of the merger between EDO Corporation and ITT Corporation. Our Philosophy

You rarely hear of a chemical attack problem with composite pipe unless you are dealing with a very aggressive chemical. If a customer has a problem it can usually be traced to poor engineering design and/or poor installation procedures. By offering a turn-key approach, customers of Specialty Plastics have a single-source responsibility and are assured the system will perform as expected. Our philosophy is to offer inclusive services, from design support in the engineering phase, to manufacturing and shop fabrication, and finally to field assembly during installation, to ensure that major construction projects are completed efficiently. This approach is far more effective, and results in more reliable, durable installations than if the systems were independently designed, purchased as loose pipe and fittings, and field fabricated at the job site. This allows us to offer a unique to the industry, installed pipe warranty.
